The goal of this project is to address recurring residential flooding in the Lexington Green Neighborhood by reconnecting the Buffalo creek to its historic floodplain, much of which has been eliminated to provide opportunities for the community to grow. Reconnecting of the Buffalo Creek to its floodplain will increase the creek’s capacity for floodwater, thus decreasing the risk of property loss and residential flooding.
To learn more about this project, please join us for a public meeting on August 22 from 6-7 pm. It will be held at West Seneca Community Center and will be broadcast live on the Town of West Seneca Facebook Page.
