Report petroleum or chemical spills to the Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) Spill Hotline at 1-800-457-7362.

Report an Algae Bloom

Buffalo Niagara Waterkeeper staff respond to reports of local algae blooms when warranted. This may include collecting a sample to identify the type of algae. Reports from community members allow us to communicate with local parks departments and community members. Fill out a report to notify our staff here.
