Buffalo Niagara Waterkeeper is seeking a consultant, or team of consultants, to provide professional planning and design services for the development of an Ecological Restoration and Resiliency Plan for Scajaquada Creek. Consultants are encouraged to partner with smaller firms or community-based organizations
and may structure their proposal to divide responsibilities across specialized team members.
The Project is located in the Towns of Cheektowaga and Lancaster, Villages of Depew and Lancaster and City of Buffalo in Erie County, New York.
This Request for Proposals (RFP) is for professional services including data collection and analysis, stakeholder engagement, planning services, development of a comprehensive watershed plan for the Scajaquada Creek corridor, and completion of detailed feasibility studies and preliminary concept designs for select sites.
All work performed for BNW must be accomplished with the protection of water resources and the environment in mind.
Timeline
This project is expected to begin August 2025, and all tasks described in this RFP must be completed by July 2026.
Pre-Proposal Meeting
A mandatory pre-proposal meeting will be held virtually on Monday, June 9, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. (EST) via Microsoft Teams (Link to Microsoft Teams Meeting). BNW will give a brief presentation outlining the goals of the Scajaquada Creek Ecological Restoration and Resiliency Plan and the scope of work as
described in this RFP.
For those intending to submit a proposal, at least one representative of the Consultant team must attend the pre-proposal meeting.
Deadline
Project Proposals are due by 3 p.m. (EST) on Monday, June 30, 2025.
