The Black Rock Riverside Alliance (BRR|Alliance) will have an environmental speaker series throughout October. Each speaker will discuss our urban environment, the issues it faces, and how people can be good environmental stewards every day.
The first speaker will be Anne McCooey from the BRR|Alliance, and Bridge Rausch from the Clean Air Coalition of WNY. The topic is Breathing Free – Clean Air Coalition’s Community Air Monitoring Initiative and The Air You Breathe: In Your Yard and Your Home. This first one is Saturday, Oct. 7 from 10 to 11 am.
The others are at the same time and location. The dates are:
- Oct. 14: “Coexisting with Urban Wildlife”
- Oct. 21: “The City of Buffalo’s New Composting Initiative”
- Oct. 28: “Migratory Birds and WNY; Niagara River Bird Habitats”
