Kids Bike Parade is a fun, family event celebrating Independence Day, promoting health and wellness, and building community and friendship in the Black Rock Neighborhood.
This is hosted by Believe in Black Rock/BRRAlliance.
Children and youths along with their parents or guardians are invited to participate with bikes, trikes, skate boards, scooters, strollers, wheel chairs, or just walk along. No motorized vehicles or fireworks will be allowed. Children and youths must be accompanied by a parent or guardian throughout the event.
On Sunday, June 29, Kids Bike Parade participants will gather at Market Square Park at the corner of Niagara and Amherst at 2 p.m. Families check in with volunteers, then enjoy a kid-friendly, hands-on activity fair including decorating bikes (decorations provided or bring your own), fun fitness challenge, bike safety and repair ideas, seed exchange and environmental caretaking, face painting, music, dance, and story telling. At 3:00 everyone will line up together for the Kids Bike Parade and proceed north at a “slow roll” along the Niagara Street cycle track with Buffalo
Community Police Officers on hand to support. The parade will end at the brand new Tow Path Park Playground at the foot of Hertel.

Volunteers Arrive and Set Up – 1:00 pm
Participants Arrive, Check In, Kids Activity Fair 2:00-3:00 pm
Parade Start Time 3:00 pm – Line up to proceed together north along the Niagara Street cycle track.
Parade ends at Towpath Park (foot of Hertel) where families can enjoy the Towpath Park Playground.
