Volunteers are requested to help move plants along Ellicott Creek this Saturday, Nov. 4.
Erie County Bureau of Forestry is working with the Citizen Coalition for Wildlife and Environment to salvage plants along the banks at Ellicott Creek. The plants need to be moved for an upcoming United States Army Corps of Engineers flood control project.
The event is this Saturday, Nov. 4 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Transplanting will take the plants to another location on site. Volunteers are asked to dress for the weather and to bring their own hand tools, if possible.
Volunteers should meet at Ellicott Creek @ Ellicott Creek Park Kayak Launch: Follow Google Map Link for direct meeting location.
