Thanks to our RestoreCorps volunteers for their efforts at Ellicott Creek Park on May 3. We had 23 people help replace about 150 tree shelters in the park.
Over time, trees outgrow the shelters they were installed with and require updated protection.
These shelters will protect the trees from damage caused by deer, lawn mowers, weed whackers, and human activity as they continue to grow. When installed correctly, these shelters can protect trees for multiple years. The trees were originally planted by BNW staff and volunteers.
Thanks to everyone who volunteered!
