Waterkeeper needs your help to install a goose fence around the perimeter of a recently completed wetland restoration project in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Volunteers will work in groups of two to install 3-foot tall fence posts with 3-pound hammers. Following post installation, volunteers will work together to thread a thin rope through pre-drilled holes in the posts.

Register for this Restore Corps EventHeavy Canada Goose presence has placed extreme pressure on the plant life in the project area, making plant establishment nearly impossible. The geese are also contributing unhealthy amounts of phosphorus to this small water body through their droppings, which if left unaddressed will eventually lead to impaired water quality and potentially Harmful Algal Blooms.
