The Buffalo River is one of many Areas of Concerns (AOCs) that has seen progress along the Great Lakes. Margaux and Jessica attended the Great Lakes Areas of Concern Conference in Cleveland, Ohio in early September. The revival along the Great Lakes is a theme that sparked conversation at this year’s AOC conference in Cleveland. The Buffalo River was declared an AOC in 1987 and ever since, we’ve worked with countless partners to improve the River and provide education to the public.
