Niagara Outfitters presents the first annual Outdoor Adventure Race at Beaver Island State Park. This event is in conjunction with Paddles Up Niagara, but designed to be more competitive! This is a sprint style adventure race featuring a 5k kayak paddle followed by a 5k run! Complete with your best friend as a team or do both events as an individual. Prizes will be awarded across a variety of categories. This is a great race for the beginner adventure racer, but watch out once you start, you just can’t stop! Due to the competitive nature of this event and the Upper Niagara River, this event is open to ages 16 and up. Kayaks will be available to rent from Blue Water Marina and Niagara Outfitters, or bring your own! Reservations for kayaks is strongly recommended. Call Libby at 716-545-2143. The race will start in the water at the beach near shelter 2B at 12 pm.
