Cayuga Creek Stream Restoration Project- Advertisement for Bids

Bids are requested for construction of the Cayuga Creek Stream Restoration Project which will restore Cayuga Creek’s interaction with its historic floodplain within a 30-acre parcel owned by the Town of Niagara. The project includes reestablishing Cayuga Creek’s flow into and through the eastern portion of the project site, removal of an existing berm, construction of a new berm along the southern end of the property, and excavation to expand and enhance the historic floodplain area. The construction work will include enhancement of existing forested and wetland habitat, creation of wetlands, and establishment of a functional buffer along the stream corridor. The project also includes Additional/Alternates to perform invasive species treatment as shown in the Contract Documents, to construct a trail system and to install associated features (such as seating and kiosks).

This project is being re-bid with several modifications. The total funding available for this project is $1,070,000. The Contract Documents include Additional Alternates that will be implemented if bid prices allow. No contract will be awarded to a bid where the sum of the base bid plus Addition Alternate #1 is greater than $1,070,000.
