Cayuga Creek Living Shoreline RFP
The project is located in Sanborn, NY, within the Cayuga Creek floodplain on the properties of Niagara Wheatfield High School and the Niagara Wheatfield Athletic Association. The primary objective is to develop a fully permitted set of construction contract documents, ready for competitive bidding once implementation funding is secured.
Design elements will include shoreline and habitat restoration, floodplain reconnection, and low-impact public access components, such as creek crossings, trails, and overlooks. The scope of work includes site analysis, stakeholder engagement, design development, and permit acquisition. Construction bidding and construction contract administration are not included in this project scope.
Important dates are described below:
- Wednesday 3/11/26: A mandatory pre-proposal meeting at Niagara Wheatfield High School at 9:30 a.m. (EST)
- Wednesday 3/18/26: All questions regarding the RFP must be received by 4 p.m. (EST)
- Friday 4/10/26: Project proposals are due by 4 p.m. (EST)
