Sheridan Park Living Shoreline RFP

The proposed Sheridan Park Living Shoreline is located in Tonawanda, NY. It consists of three project components – the West Pond Living Shoreline, Two Mile Creek Living Shoreline, and a connective corridor linking the two restoration areas together.

Buffalo Niagara Waterkeeper is seeking a Consultant, or team of Consultants, to provide professional services to design the three project areas, assist with construction contract bidding, and lead construction contract administration during project implementation. The scope of work described in this RFP includes, but is not limited to:

  • Completing a desktop and field analysis of the project areas,
  • Refining preliminary concept designs based on site analysis,
  • Developing schematic through final construction document drawings for construction bidding,
  • Developing construction cost estimates at specified design milestones,
  • Presenting project details to a Technical Advisory Committee,
  • Convening a public meeting to present project details,
  • Preparing permit applications and securing project permits for construction,
  • Assisting BNW during construction contract bidding, and
  • Leading construction contract administration (CCA) during project implementation.

Important dates are described below

  • Wednesday 3/19/25: A mandatory pre-proposal meeting at Sheridan Park at 9:30 a.m. (EST)
  • Wednesday 3/26/25: All questions regarding the RFP must be received by 4 p.m. (EST)
  • Monday 4/28/25: Project proposals are due by 4 p.m. (EST)
